Our Story

Call me crazy, but I believe that together, we really can change the worldโ€”one human and one cat at a time.

I believe all of the people today who are taking their cats outside are paving the way for normalcy in the future.

Call me crazy, but I believe that together, we really can change the worldโ€”one human and one cat at a time.

I believe all of the people today who are taking their cats outside are paving the way for normalcy in the future.

I envision a world where cats are treated as equal as dogs.

I imagine a world with cat parksโ€”featuring cool floating ladders and trees to climb and healthy grass to eat, tunnels and parkour. A catโ€™s dream!

I imagine more people, specifically women, to feel confident hiking solo because they feel comfortable with their cat by their side.

At least, bringing my cat into the backcountry gives me the confidence I need on solo missions. Plus, it reminds me that even when I'm in the most remote places, I'm never truly alone. My cat is there, by my side, sharing in the adventure and adding to the richness of the experience.

She has undoubtedly changed the way I adventure, bringing me so much joy and happinessโ€”and by carrying her everywhere I go including every mountain topโ€”Iโ€™ve become physically and emotionally stronger.

She is not just an adventure cat or emotional support animal, she is my everything. Sheโ€™s my confidant. My soulmate. My own spirit in animal form.

Anyways, Iโ€™m rambling. The moral of this story isโ€”this isn't just about me and my cat. It's about all of us. It's about realizing that we have the power to choose our path in life and be the change we want to see in the world.

Together, let's redefine what it means to have a cat and forge a legacy of positive change, one human, one cat at a time.

About Kaylin & Adventure Cat Max

About Kaylin & Adventure Cat Max

My goal is to inspire you to get outside whether or not you have someone to join youโ€”and to take your cat with! Besides, youโ€™re never really alone when youโ€™re with your cat.

Training my cat to go on adventures with me was the best decision of my life. She gives me the confidence I need to do the things I love (hiking, backpacking, camping) even if itโ€™s just me, myself and her.

We love spreading smiles for miles and showing the world whatโ€™s possible with a positive mindset and a little bit of training.

Friendly reminder: always choose happy.

Why I Created the Adventure Cat Harness

I believe every cat deserves a safe, comfortable harness that actually fitsโ€”whether theyโ€™re a tiny kitten just starting their adventures or a full-grown explorer.

When I first started training Max, finding a harness that fit her was nearly impossible. Most major brands didnโ€™t offer sizes small enough for kittens, and the ones that did werenโ€™t escape-proof.

Thatโ€™s why I created the Adventure Cat Harness (ACH)โ€”a harness designed specifically for kitten-sized explorers and adventure cats of all sizes.

The ACH Difference

  • Sized for kittens and small catsโ€”because finding the right fit shouldnโ€™t be impossible.
  • Escape-proof and designed for a cat's bodyโ€”no more Houdini escapes.
  • Reflective strips for night visibilityโ€”essential for early morning or evening adventures.
  • 10-ft leash includedโ€”so you can stay hands-free and your cat can roam within a safe distance.
  • Step-in designโ€”no over-the-head struggles, just easy on and off.

What Does ACH Stand For?

ACH stands for my Instagram handle, โ€œAlways Choose Happy,โ€ but it also stands for โ€œAdventure Cat Harness!โ€ Itโ€™s a little reminder to bring joy to every adventureโ€”and Iโ€™m a sucker for a double meaning.

What Cat Parents Are Saying

โ€œFinally, a harness that actually fits my tiny cat!โ€

โ€œEscape-proof is rightโ€”my little Houdini finally met her match.โ€

โ€œThe reflective strips are a game changer for night walks!โ€

โ€œI love the colors! They match my outdoor gear perfectly.โ€

When I started my Instagram account a million years ago, โ€˜always choose happyโ€™ was my life mantra. We have the power to choose our thoughts and change our perspectives so for me, the choice became clearโ€”choose the happier thought-pattern and youโ€™ll live a more fulfilled life.

Once I rescued Maxie cat and started sharing our adventures together, โ€˜always choose happyโ€™ took on a different meaningโ€”something much bigger and greater than just the happiness in my own life.

When people see that I have a CAT on a hiking trail or deep in the backcountry, the look on their faces is priceless and the smiles are infectious.

Nearly everyone that passes us stops in awe, grinning ear to ear with joy, takes a picture and asks how to get started with harness training.

I did not realize how many peopleโ€™s lives I would change by simply bringing my cat everywhere with me.

On a recent 30 mile backpacking trip in Aspen, a group of male backpackers in their 40s from Kentucky told me they wrote in their friend journal that they saw a cat on trail and itโ€™s the best thing thatโ€™s happened to them on any of their trips combined.

I overheard a woman say, โ€œThatโ€™s the best thing Iโ€™ve seen on this trail so far. Not the views. The cat.โ€

It tickles my soul to think about how many people have told me I made their day after seeing Max in the great outdoors.

There are a million reasons why I love my adventure cat, but seeing the joy she brings to others in the wilderness is definitely top 10. Spreading smiles for miles is one of the best feelings. Cheers to all the adventure cats out there spreading happiness.

Now it's your turn to make someone's day and change your lifeโ€”and your cat's lifeโ€”for the better. Choose to stop leaving your cat at home and take them with you on the journey of a lifetime!
